Poll – Does the Twitter 'Follow Me' badge enhance my Blog?

I’ve just installed the ‘Follow Me’ Twitter button on the blog to see if it makes any difference to you, the reader. It sits on the left-hand side of the blog, and does not scroll if you scroll down the page.

So, please vote in the poll below;

Which term do you like/use for your student-centred "learning environment"?

  • VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) (51%, 45 Votes)
  • LMS (Learning Management System) (30%, 26 Votes)
  • CMS (Content Management System) (0%, 0 Votes)
  • LCMS (Learning Content Management System) (1%, 1 Votes)
  • MLE (Managed Learning Environment) (2%, 2 Votes)
  • LP (Learning Platform) (7%, 6 Votes)
  • Other (9%, 8 Votes)

Total Voters: 88

I think you should add it to your right-hand column where it won’t obscure the text in the posts. Even better, add a widget that shows your last several tweets and includes a link to your Twitter homepage where they can follow you.

Sorry, I am the one that voted to lose it, but if ” Move it” was an option, that would have been my vote.

FYI: I already enjoy following you on Twitter and recommend anyone else to also.

Jeff – Excellent idea, I’ll swap it around and see how it works.

One thing I hadn’t realised is that the plugin does not work well, at all, if you’re viewing on a smartphone / iPhone!

Thanks for the kind words and following me, all the best,

    David

I like it. If I didn’t already follow you, I would click it. Is it hard to add?

Hadley – If you run a WordPress blog then it’s easy to find in the ‘plugin’ list by searching for “FollowMe” (no space).
