I agree with your &quot;don&#039;t worry about the numbers&quot; point.  Twitter is both a push and pull technology.  Even if you are only &quot;pushing&quot; your comments to a few people, you still have the ability to &quot;pull&quot; useful information if you follow quality people.  The &quot;pulling&quot; can validate the use of Twitter all on its own.</description>
