Censorship (15) / #100DaysToOffload

With the US elections (almost?) over, and the changes filtering through to the UK (hopefully), can we find a waay forward where we can start to view the world with a more positive, less ‘fake’ viewpoint and start to believe what we read again?

Are we getting to grips with the media and the truth they spout? Are we beginning to understand the bias in algorithsm and starting to make a change to a more balanced, more inclusive approach? Indeed, are we able to recover the initiative and take back control of our online world and prevent an algortihm or unregulated system or tool to avoid an unneccessary censorship of the information available to us?

Over the last 8 months, since the beginning of lockdown, I’ve been staying off social media more and more, making a deliberate decision for my own wellbeing to avoid the #doomscrolling and negativity of recent events. I’m not going to stop, I’m not going back to my previous use of social media (as my stats show), nor am I going to engage as much as I used to. I feel sad about it, but it’s also having a very calming influence over my approach to each day.

How about you?
